If I’m feeling harried, hurried and a bit worried, I bet some of you are, too. We made it through long-but-loved-it Maycember, seem to be accelerating through soon-to-be-summer June and attempting to put the brakes on back-to-school August. A lot of feelings wrapped up in each of those. Feelings of joy and celebration as graduations and birthdays are upon my family. Feelings of fear and trepidation as high school awaits.
When I’m feeling this way, I like to go back to the simple exercise of a five minute gratitude list- challenging my brain to see gratitude in new things and my heart to feel it in new ways.
Here goes…
My men singing - Grant at his concert, Elliott while putting, and Scott at Kenny Chesney’s concert.
A relaxing acupuncture session that may have helped my shoulder but definitely helped my mind.
Alice, my favorite card dealer in Vegas, giving me confidence to gamble once every ten years again.
The employees at my latest writing spot where they know so many by name.
The powerhouse women helping me behind the scenes of the Kids Closet.
Morning breakfast with my boys and the French Open. Come on, Coco!
My new found desire to read this on my Kindle and the library app Libby.
Chris Martin and the positive energy a Coldplay concert exudes. Highly recommend.
FOMO and the friends that got me out of my house to witness the above.
Seeing a friend’s child in the newspaper excelling at their craft.
This post from Richard Branson. Just imagine.
A baby tomato in our veggie bed.
Marinated mushrooms.
New bath towels.
Succulent pups.
70 and sunny.
Compliments.
You.
With love and gratitude-
Laura
