I love…
Fuzzy Birkenstocks. The perfect California shoe.Â
Rainstorms on a screened in porch, preferably in a hammock.Â
When I book an outing - be it a trip, a dinner, a party with family, with friends or most importantly (yes, we can say that!) for myself.Â
New car smell but not necessarily a new car. The process and the payments aren’t my thing. I’ll pass on new car scented spray, too.
Garden tours but I never go on them.Â
House tours but I never go on them.Â
Paschimottanasana (pronunciation here) or forward fold. Although I was a cheerleader in 8th grade much to my sister’s dismay, hamstring flexibility has never been my strength until I started yoga. Now I crave (yep, I said it), this pose.
This skeleton (sold out - boo) in my neighbor’s front yard. #yardenvyÂ
To really sweat…on purpose but not inadvertently and certainly not in the middle of the night.Â
Mondays. How times change.
The first five bites of a poke bowl but after that I’m mildly maxed out on the feeeeeesh.
Umbrellas but only for shade, not for rain. I actually can’t stand rain umbrellas (so cumbersome) and only use them for shade at sporting events. However, my husband, a foul weather gear aficianado, swears by this one.
Ice cubes.
Rocking, swivel or swinging chairs.
One long bench cushion on a couch like this. I always want to feel like I’m practically in a bed (if not in a chair listed above).
Ranch dressing - full fat version required and semi-homemade preferred.Â
Goodr sunglasses. Price and style on point. Stocking stuffer?
Marco Polo (late adapter to this app). I only Marco with two friends and love the connection it provides.
This butter and warm bread.
A perfectly wrapped gift. Not so much the bow but the crisp edges and lined up seams that really do it for me.Â
January 2. Post holiday bliss not blues.
Brilliant branding - example Loveskis - a Jew-ish deli. Order some latkes while you’re at it.
Any sort of crossbody bag. Like the umbrella, I really reject purses and don’t even get me started on one without a shoulder strap. Like most women, I’m hauling fourteen mystery items in and out of the car hourly. I lack any sort of extra hand, wrist or forearm for a Birkin (good thing because I also do not have money for a Birkin).Â
This jacket I just bought for Scott. A classic. It definitely offset the weight (literally and figuratively) of the dumbbells I also gifted him.
My KitchenAid mixer, even more so because it’s a hand-me-over. I feel so profesh when adding items to the mixing bowl and watching it do the work. I do not love it’s size and storage requirements but our new console with adjustable shelves will hold it perfectly.
